The town's Christmas lights come on at 7pm on Friday 27 November on the High Street, with fireworks after. The West Street multi-storey shuts at 7pm.

Bonfire night 2026 is Thursday 5 November and Leighton Buzzard has no display. The only announced fireworks follow the lights switch-on on 27 November.

The festive market runs 4pm to 8pm on Friday 27 November, then four Saturdays with the Charter Market. The Sunday craft and gift market has been scrapped.

Leighton Buzzard panto 2027: Aladdin dates and prices
Aladdin runs for 11 performances at Leighton Buzzard Library Theatre from 15 to 30 January 2027. Tickets £20.75, £19.25 concessions, plus a £1.25 booking fee.

Residents named 41 Leighton Buzzard locations in the council's nuisance vehicle survey. 94% backed a ban, but the signs may not go up until April 2027.

Councillors vote tonight on restoring organisational blue badges to Buzzer Buses. The executive refused in June, saying government rules bar them.

That tells you most of what you need to know about the shape of this council: it covers Leighton Buzzard and Linslade in the west, Dunstable and Houghton Regis in the south, Ampthill, Flitwick and Shefford in the middle, and Biggleswade, Sandy and Potton out east on the A1, and none of them is the centre of it.
