We checked 6 places to buy a real Christmas tree near Leighton Buzzard, from Ringshall to Badger Hill at Maulden, for 2026 dates and prices. Updated November 2026.

There are six places to buy a real Christmas tree within about 16 miles of Leighton Buzzard in 2026, and this guide puts them in one place with opening dates, prices where they are published, and delivery. Most people will land on the Real Christmas Tree Farm at Ringshall, the nearest grower and open every day from 21 November, Badger Hill at Maulden, which publishes its prices, and Christmas Tree Place on the A41 at Berkhamsted. Every entry was checked against the seller’s own website on 5 November 2026.

We have not bought a tree from any of these for this guide, and nothing here is a review. Each entry says what the seller says it does. Distances are straight-line from Leighton Buzzard town centre, so the drive is a little further. There is no Christmas tree farm in Leighton-Linslade itself that has posted 2026 dates; see “Not in this guide” below.

Not in this guide

Rushmere Country Park at Heath and Reach, the nearest place to town that has sold trees, was left out for now: the Greensand Trust’s 2025 sale of Nordmann firs at the Herons’ View visitor centre ran to 24 December last year, but no 2026 sale had been posted on 5 November. Avocet Christmas Trees on Leighton Road appears only in old directory listings with no website, and we found no site for Thrift Wood at Whaddon. Pecks Farm Shop at Eggington and Mead Open Farm at Billington do not mention trees on their sites. We will add any of these when they confirm 2026 dates.

After Christmas: recycling the tree

Central Bedfordshire Council collected real trees from Monday 5 January to Friday 16 January 2026 last winter, on your normal recycling day, if they were under 6ft, cleared of decorations and left next to the recycling bin. The 2027 collection dates had not been announced on 5 November. Our Christmas bin collections page has the rules and will carry the new dates.

How we chose

We started from the farms people around Leighton Buzzard search for and that local roundups have listed over several years, then read each seller’s own website, including its online shop where it has one, on 5 November 2026. We kept only sellers that had posted something for the 2026 season and left out those that had not, saying why above. Prices are the seller’s own and can change; where a seller does not publish prices, we say so rather than guess.
