Mead Open Farm's 18+ Adult Farm Nights is one of four finalists for Best Event at the 2027 NFAN Awards. The next one, Bad Santa, is on 12 December at £37.95.

Mead Open Farm’s grown-ups-only evenings are a finalist in a national award for farm attractions.

The National Farm Attractions Network (NFAN) has named Mead Open Farm: Adult Farm Nights as one of four finalists for Best Event at its 2027 awards. (NFAN Awards)

The farm is at Billington, about two miles south-east of Leighton Buzzard town centre. It is better known as a children’s day out, so a shortlisting for its adults-only nights is a little unusual.

Who it is up against

NFAN lists four finalists in the Best Event category:

Attraction Event
Farmaggedon Farmaggedon
Hobbledown Santa’s Secret Village at Hobbledown
Lichfield Maize Maze Sunset in the Sunflowers Picnic Evenings
Mead Open Farm Adult Farm Nights

The winners are announced at the network’s annual conference, trade show and awards. That runs from 26 to 28 January 2027 at Doncaster Racecourse, according to NFAN’s events listing. (NFAN)

Last year’s Best Event award went to Manor Farm Park and Woodlands for its World Mud Pie Championships, NFAN’s page shows.

What an Adult Farm Night is

The farm’s own page describes the nights as one of its “sell-out” events. Tickets are for over-18s only and the evening runs from 6.30pm to 11pm. (Mead Open Farm, Adult Farm Nights: Bad Santa)

The ticket includes:

  • the indoor soft play
  • a silent disco
  • time with the animals
  • food from the farm’s restaurant
  • toasting marshmallows in its Alpine Village

Drinks from the bar cost extra.

The next one: Bad Santa, 12 December

The next night on the farm’s events list is a Christmas edition, Adult Farm Nights: Bad Santa, on Saturday 12 December 2026.

  • Time: 6.30pm to 11pm
  • Price: £37.95 per person, food included
  • Age: 18 and over only
  • Groups: the farm offers a discount for six or more

What it means for you

If you want a ticket for 12 December, book through the farm’s event page. The farm says these nights sell out, so do not leave it late.

Before then, the farm’s family events carry on. Its Freaky Fun Fest starts on 24 October, and its Fireworks and Farm Fun nights start on 7 November. For other options, see our Halloween in Leighton Buzzard listings and our bonfire night and fireworks guide.

We will report the result after the awards in January.
