Leighton Buzzard’s pantomime is Aladdin, staged by Leighton Buzzard Drama Group at Leighton Buzzard Library Theatre, and it runs for 11 performances from Friday 15 January to Saturday 30 January 2027. Tickets are on sale now.

Doors open 45 minutes before each performance. The running time is listed as 150 minutes.

Three matinees carry a block-booking rate of £17.75 a head for groups of 17 or more: the 2.30pm performances on 16, 23 and 30 January, and the 6pm on 30 January.

The drama group says more dates may be added, so the list above can grow.

The relaxed performance

The 11am on Saturday 16 January is a relaxed performance, and it is the cheapest way into the show at £17.25 and £15.25. It is sold as unreserved seating rather than allocated seats.

What the show is

Aladdin is billed as a panto: a magic carpet, Princess Jasmine, the evil Abanazar and the lamp, with “laughter, puns (good and bad!) and larger than life characters”. It is produced by Leighton Buzzard Drama Group, which stages three plays and a pantomime each year at the theatre.

The December family show

If January is too late, the theatre’s Christmas offer is Santa’s Best Ever Christmas at 2pm on Saturday 19 December 2026. It is a 45-minute musical show from Honalee Media, aimed at 2 to 8 year olds, and every child gets a wrapped present from Santa.

There are two more family dates in half term: the Three Little Pigs at 2pm on Wednesday 28 October, and a screening of Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom at 2pm on Monday 26 October.
